Species Description - Rootstock short, rather stout, erect or nearly so. Leaves tufted, erect or arching, ovate to ovate-lanceolate in outline, 2-pinnate, 2-8 dm. long, the dark brown shining petiole usually shorter than the blade; rachis dark brown, shining; pinnae lanceolate, acuminate, usually white-pulverulent beneath; pinnules lanceolate, acute or acuminate, dentate or entire, chartaceous, decurrent, the upper commonly confluent.
