Description:
Distribution and Ecology - VENEZUELA. Bolivar: on forested summit west of waterfall of headwaters of Rio Chicanan above high north-facing sandstone bluffs, 80 k m (in a straight line) to the southeast of El Dorado, lat 6° 5' N., long. 62° W., 700 m alt., epiphyte on tree trunk, leaves firmly membranaceous, dull green, sepals and petals orchidrose, August 29, 1961, J. A. Steyermark 89623 (buds only); bosque enano a lo largo del afluente Este del Rio Venamo, sobre el hombrillo superior del cerro, 1400 m alt, epiphyte on branch along stream in quebrada, January 3, 1964, Steyermark & Dunsterville 92684 (no flowers). Amazonas: Cerro Duida, crest of Ridge 25, 1900 m alt., G. H. H. Tate 455 (flowers poor); Cerro Duida, Central Camp, about 1400 m alt., Tate 581 (sterile).
