Description:

Species Description - Plants terrestrial, slender, erect, to 30 cm tall. Roots numerous, slender. Leaves 2-6, basal, oblong-elliptic, 3-15 cm long, 2-5 cm wide; cauline leaves small, narrow, bractlike. Inflorescences terminal, racemose, sparsely flowered; floral bracts lanceolate. Flowers green, resupinate. Pedicellate ovary erect, 1-1.5 cm long. Dorsal sepal erect, concave, ovate-elliptic, obtuse, 5-9 mm long, 4-5 mm wide; lateral sepals spreading, ovate-elliptic to oblongelliptic, acute, 5-8 mm long, 2-3 wide. Petals falcate, deeply bifid, 6-9 mm long; upper lobe linear, ca. 1 mm wide; lower lobe filiform, about half as broad. Lip trilobed, filiform; lateral lobes erect, 8-11 mm long; middle lobe 7-10 mm long; spur clavate, to 17 mm long. Column short; stigmatic processes short, distinct, lateral, and below the spur opening. Fruits erect, ellipsoidal, 1.2- 1.5 cm long.
