Description:

Species Description - Appressed-climbing hemiepiphytic vines. Stems with internodes 2.8-14 X 1.5-35 cm. Sap milky. Leaves: petiole about as long as blade or to nearly twice as long, subterete, somewhat angular adaxially, sheathing for about 2A-% length (juvenile petioles flattened sharply adaxially); preadult leaf blade hastate, ca. 20 X 15 cm; adult blade mostly 30-40 cm long, pedatisect, 3-lobed, the lobes united, the lateral lobes prominently auriculate, the auricles oblong to spathulate. Inflorescences to 6 or more per axil, the peduncle usually longer than spathe, usually <9 cm long; spathe constricted about midway, the tube green, the blade white, deciduous after anthesis. Infructescences pendent, the fruiting spathe yellow to light orange. Seeds pale green, somewhat depressed-globose, imbedded in gray, sweet mesocarp.
