Description:

Tree. Tree 10 m x 8 cm, outer bark brown, thin, flaky, inner bark almost white, fibrous. Fruit ovoid, green, resembling Persea fruits, to 8 cm long, flesh pale green, stone bony, ridged, endosperm white, brittle. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
Habitat:

Terrace ("tabuleiro") with some swampy areas, soils sandy. High density of slender-trunked trees but canopy discontinuous, few trees exceeding 15-20 m x 30 cm. Occasional.
