Description:

shrub. Unbranched shrub 2.5 m, leaves tinged with purple below, fruits globose, 3 cm diam. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Terra firme forest on hilly terrain, canopy discontinuous, few palms, some patches of Guadua (arborescent bamboo).
