Description:

Low, weak-wooded shrub ca. 7 dm tall and broad. Mature fruits deep reddish orange; herbage vested in dendritic or substellate hairs, which are apparently absent in the very similar Solanum pseudocapsicum L. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
Habitat:

Encountered hidden away amid trees in the Back 40, and partially shaded by pines and madrones. Granitic alluvium of slight southwesterly slope.
