Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:
Moderately grazed. NE-facing exposure with a slope of 35-37%. Closed canopy oak pine forest, the leading dominants (in decreasing order, judging from basal areas; no stratified random quadrat data): Quercus obtusata - Persea hintonii - Q. castanea [see label for additional information on these species]; other prominent trees (of large size but low frequency): Pinus pseudostrobus, Q. rugosa [see label for additional information on these species]; tree of minor significance: Zinowiewia concinna; present in seedling and sapling classes: Fraxinus uhdei. The prevalent groundlayer sp. is Solanum nigricans (common; in all quadrats); other shrubs incl. the characteristic Euphorbia schlechtenda lii & Pedilanthus palmeri as well as Solanum aphyodendron, [see label for additional species in this category]; an avg. content of vines, woody & herbaceous: Toxicodendron radicans, Celstrus pringlei, [see label for additional species in this category]; weedy herbs: Sida glabra, S. acuta, [see label for additional species in this category]; a high content of epiphytes, but not to the degree of mesophytic stands: Fuchsia decidua, Encyclia adenocaula, [see label for additional species in this category]. Total no. vasc. pl. spp. present per 1/10 ha. = 74 (Whittaker Biodiversity Method).
