Description:

Fern to 2m; rhizome erect(?), pulpy; petiole succulent with mucilage, sometimes spiny.

Habitat:

Ravine with good canopy. Many aroids & ferns. Rainforest, some disturbance. Soil organic over rock. Uncommon.
