Description:

Arborescent fern 1.5-2 m., base 0.5 m. high, 15 cm diam.; fronds 1 m. rachis dark maroon, coarse brown vestiture at base. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
Habitat:

Sandbars, streambed, adjacent sandstone walls & riparian forest island. Substrate loosley formed white sandstones of lower Roraima formation.
