Location:

Suriname. Sipaliwini. Caiman Camp Area (Tafelberg). Trail up to 1km to the N and S of the Caiman campsite at the point where Augustus Creek divides into two streams. Alt. 700 m. (2297 ft.)

Description:

Clump-forming terrestrial fern 30-40cm tall. Sori in a dark band around the leaf margin. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.

Habitat:

Low tropical forest of mixed hardwood species growing on thin soils over sandstone. Dominated by Clusia trees 10-20m tall. Not common.
