Belize. Cayo. Side of Western Highway, behind (west) airstrip of BDF camp west of Central Farm. 100 yards West of mile 63. Alt. 200m. (656 ft.)

Description:

Shrub 2-3 m tall, mostly from single stem branching at about 0.8 m, prominent lenticels and noticeable annular scar even on stem, dbh 4ch\m. Corolla orange, many with holes at base (nectar robbers) bee or wasp seen visiting flowers, inserting head in corolla and hanging on. Fruits red/orange.

Habitat:

Hobio, tapaculo, cypress(Casearia), Zanthoxyllum (prickley yellow), wild okro, Podophyllun, Aegiphila. Limestone substrate.
