Description:

In clumps or in larger stands in more protected sites. Culms erect, ca. 1 cm in diameter, 1-2 m tall. Branching extravaginal; subsidiary branches somewhat curved. Culm leaves fused at base for ca. 1.5 cm. Vegetative. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
