Description:

Tree. Low-branching treelet 5 m, fruit pendent, depressed-globose. Level terrain. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Primary forest on parts of terra firme where Guadua sarcocarpa is beginning to dominate, approx. 11 years after dieback. Rare.
