Description:

130 ft. tree 16 inches diameter, buttressed to 4 ft., irregular, and spreading to 6 ft., sap red; leaves chartaceous, glaucescent below, flowers 2-8 together in short axillary fascicles - calyx tubular mealy green, barely lobed - corolla tubular, white, fleshy, valvate in bud, lobed almost to base, lobes quite reflexed in flower - flowers sweet scented - filaments connate at base with an inner ring of whitish aborted stamens - ovary green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Frequent on one set of creek heads in Turu forest.
