Description:

Tree. Tree 28 m, inflorescences pendent, closed in bud, flowers cream. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Primary forest on terra firme, steep hills deeply dissected by many small streams. Canopy discontinuous, many trees exceeding 30 m, understory with dense herbaceous layer, some large young stems of arborescent bamboo. Rare.
