Location:

Brazil. Bahia. 65 km. N.E. of Itabuna, at the mouth of the Rio de Contas on the N. bank opposite Itacaré.

Description:

Erect pyramidal tree or shrub to ca. 5m. Leaves coraceous, dark green above, pale below. Flowers dull yellowish-cream with reddish anthers and ovary. Young fruit green with red tinge.
