Description:
Lax undershrub. Stem 1 1/2 inches thick.10 feet long. branched from near the base. Repeatedly rebranched. Ultimate ones very slender and drooping down hill so as to expose their leaf surfaces. Wood soft, Whitish. Odorless and nearly tasteless. Descending. Extremely variable in size. Usually the larger ones terminal. Paler green beneath. Figs single or in mall axillary groups. Upon short yellowish red stalk. Ovoidly globose. 1/2 inch across. The basal part yellow. Reddish toward the exposed apex through which the similarly colored umbilical bracts extend. Erect. "Perai" in Manobo.
