Description:

Shrub like tree; stem 6 inches thick, mainly branched from below the middle, the ultimate ones slender and widely spreading; bark smoothish, greenish grey, reddish beneath the epidermis and with latex; leaves paler green beneath, slightly recurved, tips much recurved, nerves prominent and yellowish beneath; figs mostly axillary although occasionally clustered along the stem and larger branches, subsessile, very dark green, slightly compressed, irregular in shape and with milk spots, the umbilicus stellately crowned, usually covered with fine fuzzy brown hairs, flowers pale or yellowish white. "Tabog" in Manobo.

on a wooded ridge. in damp humus covered soil.
