Description:

Sprawling shrub to 1.5 m. Inflorescence spicate with flowers subtended by nectariferous bracts. Bracts brigth red turnign deep burgundy with a age. Frequented by several spp of hummingbirds.

Habitat:

Growing at edge of escarpment.
