Description:

Spindly shrub to 1 m. high. Leaves mid-green, glossy above, paler beneath. Calyx tube pale beneath, tinged dark purple above, with dark purplish teeth. Petals magenta. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Sandstone, metamorphic and quartzite rock outcrops with associated marsh and damp flushes.
