Description:

Weedy herb to ca. 50 cm. Leaves viscid with fruity smell. Sepals dark blackish-purple. Petals deep reddish-purple. Pods green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Caatinga on sand and quartzitic rocks & metamorphosed sandstones forming rock areas. With more open vegetation including extensive area of Vellozia.
