Description:

Perennial dioecious herb of 20-30cm high with large woody roots of 20-30cm x 150mm. Leaves alternate; petioles in male and female plants 2mm long; lamina simple, hairy, dark green, elliptic, male 20x70mm, female 25x80mm, coarsely hairy, margins dentate.
Habitat:

Dune (coastal) with gentle slope, full sun, in well-drained soil of sandstone sand. Grassland. Native and occasional Native and occasional.
