Description:

Tree 18 meters, 100 cm diameter, with large buttress roots and flying buttresses. Possible a strangler fig. Bark black, thick, rough, shed in large irregular plates. Latex watery, cream-colored. "Fruits" lime green, to 2.5 cm diameter, globose, receptacle spongy.
Habitat:

Floodplain forest; river at low water. Rare.
