Costa Rica. Cartago. continuation of C.R. # 224 along the property of ICE Hydroelectric plant ca 0.3-7 km beyond the main gate and 3-7 km beyond the bridge in Tapantí. Alt. 1400 - 1500 m. (4593 - 4921 ft.)

Description:

shrub with arching branches 1.5 m long. calyx and corolla bright reddish pink but the constricted apex and lobes white. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.

Habitat:

steep wooded banks descendig to the road. infrequent.
