Description:

Erect herb to 2.5 m tall. Inflorescences arising from leaf-sheath, bracts green, patent, flowers dull white tinged with blue-purple. Frequent in understory. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Occasionally flooded forest on levee between river and lakes.
