Description:

Herb/shrub, 1m. Leaves glabrous, with conspicuous venation; stems fleshy, with red spots and streaks; inflorescence spike white/gray. Terpenoid odor.
Habitat:

Seasonally flooded forest (baixio/várzea), open on igarapé (small river). Secondary vegetation. Muddy soils.
