Description:

Tree 18 m x 8 cm, outer bark brown, smooth, inner bark fibrous, sap blood-red, watery, flowers pale green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Terrace ("tabuleiro") with some swampy areas, soils sandy. High density of slender-trunked trees but canopy discontinuous, few trees exceeding 15-20 m x 30 cm.
