Description:

Shrublets to 8 dm. tall, those in shade with soft, flat leaves, those in sun with folded, crisped leaves. Only a few green fruits seen, no flowers. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Disturbed edges of tropical evergreen forest and pasture near ranch house. Scheelea princeps, Guadua angustifolia, Hura crepitans.
