Location:

Ecuador. Zamora Chinchipe. Nangaritza (Canton). Parroquia: Zurmi. Comunidad Centro Shaime (along Río Nangaritza). Forest 2-4 km NW of Centro Shaime. Forest on limestone outcrop (i.e., presence of sinkholes, rocks, and caves). Alt. 1000m. (3281 ft.)

Description:

Scandent terrestrial herb. Shoots dorsiventral ("fern frond"-like). Bracts green. Calyx green. Corolla bilabiate; mostly yellow with red striations on lower (ventral) lobe.

Habitat:

Evergreen wet forest.
