Location:

Ecuador. Tungurahua. Baños (Canton). Parroquia: Río Verde. Sector: Machay. Collections made along forested trail (from Baños-Puyo road) towards Cascada de San Miguel via San Augustin. Alt. 1800 - 2200 m. (5905 - 7218 ft.)

Description:

Epiphyte with dorsiventral stems. Bracts mostly green with red streaks in center. Calyx green. Corolla bilabiate; yellow with red spots at base of lip. Similar to J.L. Clark #5698, but with shorter pedicels and presence of bracts.

Habitat:

Tropical montane wet forest.
