Description:

Terrestrial herb, 1 m tall. Stems erect and succulent. Abaxial leaf surface green witih red veins. Bracts enclosing immature flowers and then falling off at anthesis. Calyx lobes green with red venation; slightly cucullate. Corolla tubular; yellow wit.
Habitat:

Tropical montane wet forest.
