Ecuador. Guayas. Guayaquil (Canton). Bosque Protector Cerro Blanco. Carretera Guayaquil - Salinas, km 15. Trail from Caseta Papagayo to Sendero Buenavista to Centro de visitantes. Alt. 200 - 300 m. (656 - 984 ft.)

Description:

Succulent shrub to 1 m tall. Profuse white latex in stem and leaves. Peduncles bright pink; calyx pink, corolla white. Fruits narrowly ovoid, 2-2.5 cm long; white with darker horizontal lines. Commonly flowering when leafless.

Habitat:

Tropical Dry Forest. Secondary forest with remnant canopy trees.
