Location:

Ecuador. Esmeraldas. Quinindé (Canton). The Mache-Chindul Ecological Reserve. Bilsa Biological Station. Mache Mountains, 35 km W of Quinindé, 5 km W of Santa Isabel. Near la Casa de Papaya. Alt. 400 - 600 m. (1312 - 1968 ft.)

Description:

Terrestrial. Fronds clustered on a short rhizome. Entire plant 1.7 m tall. Stipe 80 cm long. Collection includes base of stipe, basal pinna, and apex.

Mature forest. Premontane Wet Forest.
