Location:

Ecuador. Esmeraldas. Quinindé (Canton). The Mache-Chindul Ecological Reserve. Bilsa Biological Station. Mache Mountains, 35 km W of Quinindé, 5 km W of Santa Isabel. Invader trail. Alt. 400 - 600 m. (1312 - 1968 ft.)

Description:

Tree, 10 m tall, on ridge top in mature forest. Young leaves dull olive green. Long spicate inflorescence branches off side of petiole at 90 angle.
