Description:

scandent shrub, 2-3 m x 1-2 cm diam., bark smooth gray. pedicels & calyces pink-red, corollas fleshy, dark pinkish red w/ apices, persistent styles pinksih purple. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

remnant pockets of bosque húmedo, secondary scrub & surrounding cul-tivation.
