Description:

terrestrial herb. Terrestrial herb, inflorescence bracts green tinged with red, flowers cream tinged with pastel red. Leaves tinged with maroon along secondary veins and with pale green along midrib, red-purple below. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Open forest with palms and weak presence of Guadua sarcocarpa, canopy ca. 25 m. Deeply dissected terrain. Many Marantaceae, few lianas. Rare. Sandy clay soil.
