Description:

terrestrial herb. Terrestrial herb, often flowering with few or no mature leaves, inflorescence bracts wine-colored, flowers yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Open forest on steeply hilly terrain. Either still dominated by arborescent bamboo (Guadua) or regenerating from a bamboo die-back that began two years ago. Frequent.
