Description:

terrestrial herb. Terrestrial herb, underside of leaves red, inflorescence turning toward ground as fruits mature. In "baixo". Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

"Baixo" (low terraces possibly flooded occasionally by overflowing streams, with semi-closed canopy including Hura, Moraceae, trunked palms, Sterculia, Eschweilera; understory with Marantaceae and Araceae); and surrounding slopes (with Averrhoidium, Couroupita, Moraceae, Annonaceae, Pouteria).
