Description:

Tree 3 m. Leaves stiff, deep green and nitid above, pale below. Corolla lavender, pale on inner surface. Filaments purple; anthers yellow in bud, brownish at anthesis, appendage purple-nigrescent.
Habitat:

In subpáramo chaparral.
