Description:

Tree 25 feet tall; calyx and pedicel pale green; petals, style, and filiments, red or deep vermilion-red; leaves subcoriaceous, deep dark green above, dull green below with raised pale yellow green nerves.

Habitat:

Dwarf woods below paramo.
