Papua New Guinea. Milne Bay. Sudest Island. Rambuso Village, along a gravel stream through flat land mostly planted with banana and coconut but in which remains much native vegetation. Alt. 442m. (1450 ft.)

Description:

Tree. Tree leaning over stream; trunk ca. 4-5 m long but extended outward, so not as tall. Leaves covered with long brown trichomes, which are also on new growth. Petals pink, numerous; stamens with orange-yellow anthers.
