Georeferencing Method: Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012 (Referred to "Fôlha Parima NA-20" [map] for location information for Tucano (in this case assumed it to be Rio Tucano because no village of Tucano found) (Carta do Brasil ao Milionésimo, Fôlha Parima NA-20 [map]. 1:1,000,000. In: Faissol, Speridião et. al. Carta Internacional do Mundo ao Milionésimo. 2nd edition. Rio de Janeiro: Instituto brasileiro de geografia e estatistica, 1972. p. 3.). Unable to find the precise location of "Camp Tucano;" instead, georeferenced to the approximate geographic midpoint of Rio Tucano, a tributary of Rio Cauaburi, in Mun. Santa Isabel do Rio Negro, Amazonas. Used the reference map and Google Maps - Earth View to locate Rio Tucano. Used the Google Maps - Measure Distance Tool to measure a straight line between the approximate geographic center of the mouth of Rio Tucano (confluence of Rio Tucano and Rio Cauaburi) and the headwaters of the river (approximated through the dense forest cover), then halved this distance to find the midpoint of the line. Chose a point along Rio Tucano nearest to the midpoint of the line; used the Google Maps - What's Here Tool to find the coordinates of the approximate geographic center of the river, on the adjacent shore (collection assumed to be terrestrial). Used the Google Maps - Measure Distance Tool again to find the linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of Rio Tucano. Input coordinates, linear extent (10370.0 m), and measurement error (25 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.)
Coordinate Uncertainty(m): 10396.6
Geodetic Datum: WGS84
Coordinates: (0.694239, -65.9507)
