Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located Rio Japurá, a tributary of Rio Solimões. Used the Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line between the mouth of Rio Japurá (confluence of Rio Japurá and Rio Solimões) and the location where Rio Japurá becomes Rio Caqueta (at Brazilian - Colombian border), then halved this distance to approximate the location of the midpoint of Rio Japurá.
