Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located Rio Mapuéra, a tributary of Rio Trombetas. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line beginning at the mouth of Rio Mapuéra (at confluence of Rio Mapuéra and Rio Trombetas) to the farthest extent of Rio Mapuéra (approximated through the dense forest); halved this distance to approximate the location of the midpoint of the river. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the midpoint, on the adjacent shore.
