Associated species: Acacia greggii, Gutierrezia microcephala, Tetradymia stenolepis, Eriogonum fasciculatum ploifolium, Yucca schidigera, Hilaria rigida, Salazaria mexicana, Ericameria cooperi, Prunus fremontii, Ephedra nevadensis, Echinocereus engelmannii, Larrea tridentata, Opuntia acanthocarpa. Decomposed granitic substrate.
