Guyana. Cuyuni-Mazaruni Region: Mt. Ayanganna, eastern side on steep slopes. Alt. 1250 - 1300 m. (4101 - 4265 ft.)

Description:

Tree 6 m x 8 cm; sap scanty yellow; flowers pendent. Inflorescence rachis dark green, bracts maroon, calyx green, suffused with maroon, corolla white; anthers yellow.
Habitat:

Cloud forest. Dominants Clusia spp. with Bonnettia spp. Also Myrtaceae and Rubiaceae. Common.
