Description:

Tree 8 m tall, 27 cm dbh. Fruits cauline, brown, the mature ones up to 13 cm in diam., containing 5 seeds per fruit, these brown with a yellow aril of rubber-like texture and simple taste. 4 seeds have a longitudinal-central-ventral-vertical aril, the 5th seed has a horizontally curved upper lateral-adaxial aril. Only one tree of this species found, mixed with cultivated plants. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
Habitat:

Tropical moist forest, heavily disturbed. Infrequent.
