Description:

Shrub ca. 7 m tall. Leaves thinly subcoriaceous, shiny above. Rachis white, corolla pale purple.
Habitat:

Secondary forest with remnants of primary forest, right margin of Igarapé. Just outside of Parque Nacional Serra do Divisor.
