Collection Notes: "This specimen agrees with the description and plate of Licania intrapetiolaris Hook. f.; It is assumed that it is actually Spruce 3539, and that the ticket on this sheet had been interchanged with that of Spruce 3441, cited specimen of L. mollis Benth. This specimen is therefore interpreted as the isotype of intrapetiolaris Hook. f. '3539 Licania intrapetiolaris Spruce ms (in hooker's hand), ad flum. Guiania v. Rio negro supra ostium fluminis Casiquari, coll. R. Spruce, 1854.'" det. B. Maguire, 1947
Specimen Notes: According to Maguire (See collection notes), this specimen is actually Spruce 3539. The label was apparently switched with Spruce 3441. The latter no. is cited as the paratype of L. mollis and the specimen matching its description is filed in the general herbarium, with the NY barcode 428490
